Team Australia finalise U-23 Qualifier roster

Team Australia has finalised its roster for this weekend’s WBSC Oceania U-23 World Cup Qualifier against New Zealand in Canberra.

A 22-player roster has been named for a three-game series at MIT Ballpark starting on Friday at 6pm.

Seven players from Queensland and six from New South Wales headline the roster

Three players from each from of Victoria and Western Australia have been named, along with two South Australians and one player from the Australian Capital Territory.

Team Australia will be managed by David Nilsson.

The winner of the three-game series will advance to the October 14-23 World Cup in Taiwan.

Team Australia last appeared at the U-23 World Cup in 2018, finishing ninth in Colombia.

Australia won silver at the 2016 event in Mexico.

Games will start at 6pm local time on Friday and Saturday.

Sunday’s clash will get underway at midday.

Entry to all games is free.
